Don’t you love the juicy red berries that you can buy at the grocery store, while what if I told you, that you could grow them yourself. This low-growing plant with bright green, serrated leaves produces delicate white flowers which blossom into juicy red strawberries. The plants can grow 6-12 inches tall and have a spread of 12-24 inches. The flowers will bloom from spring to early summer and the berries will be ready to harvest about 4-6 weeks later.

  • Sunlight: Full sun (6-8+ hours a day)

Water: Water consistently and deeply, especially when fruit is forming, keep moist but not soggy

Spacing: 12-18 inches between plants and allow space for runners to spread

If the plant is well-kept you could have strawberries every summer for 3 or 4 years.

Ferns can stay in pots long-term and are great for hanging baskets. If fronds look crispy or pale, it’s usually from low humidity or too much sun.
